Talk
“When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.” But what happens when life’s challenges feel overwhelming or even impossible to overcome? That’s where I come in. My approach to therapy is one where we work together- we’ll sit down and explore your story, your concerns and your hopes for the future. I’ll work with you to develop a deeper understanding of your thoughts, feelings and behaviors and to identify the strengths and skills you already possess. From there, we’ll create a plan that honors your unique needs and goals; a plan that helps you move towards a more fulfilling and satisfying life. So, if life has handed you lemons and you’re not sure how to make lemonade, don’t worry – I’m here to help. Let’s work together to turn life’s challenges into opportunities for growth and change.

My Passions
As a helper by nature and a mother, I understand firsthand the challenges and joys that life can bring. I’ve also worked on the front lines of healthcare, witnessing the resilience and strength of individuals facing difficult health crises. That’s why my passion lies in supporting parents, healing professionals, and individuals who are navigating the stresses and constant changes of life.
THE EXPERIENCE
Whether you’re navigating a major life transition, coping with difficult emotions, or simply feeling stuck, I’m here to offer support and guidance every step of the way. My goal is to empower you to take charge of your life and to make meaningful changes. By providing a safe and supportive environment, I will help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships. We will identify and further explore patterns and untangle the complex web of your past, present and potential future. Through this process, you’ll develop new insights and perspectives that can lead to long-lasting change. We will honor your story and work collaboratively towards creating a brighter future.
I’m committed to helping my clients achieve their goals through evidence-based theories and approaches. While I pull from a variety of modalities, I’m particularly drawn to motivational interviewing and a psychodynamic, strengths-based approach.
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational interviewing is a collaborative approach that helps strengthen an individual’s intrinsic motivation.
- Identify and work towards goals.
- Explore what motivates you or what causes reservation.
- Build a sense of empowerment and ownership over your personal growth and development.

Psychodynamic Therapy
Psychodynamic Theory states that human behavior is influenced by unconscious desires, conflicts, and experiences from childhood.
- Gain insight into your unconscious motivations and experiences.
- Develop strategies to cope with difficult emotions.
Strength-Based Therapy
The strengths-based perspective emphasizes an individual’s strengths, abilities, and potential, rather than focusing solely on their problems or weaknesses.
- Build upon your existing resources and capabilities.
- Strengthen how you navigate difficult emotions and stressors.
- Cultivate resilience and overcome challenges.
