The practice of Pilates requires full attention of the mind, and awareness of the body. It is a much needed vacation from our ever persistent internal dialogue. You will leave feeling refreshed, relaxed and reconnected.
Pilates focuses on muscles that are neglected by the repetitive movements of modern living. Strengthening these muscles allows the body to move more efficiently and with less effort (this comes in handy when participating in the other physical activities that we love). Pilates also focuses on breathing, increasing the circulation of oxygen through the body and to the brain (actually increasing cognitive functioning)!
